On July 1st, 2017, now-deleted Twitter user posted, "pride month is over, time for LGBT wrath month," which was then reposted by Tumblr user laurathechef84 on May 24th, 2018, garnering over 74,100 notes in five years (shown below). It’s cool if you’re still figuring it out. One of the earliest known posts referencing gay wrath month was posted by Twitter user on June 1st, 2017, writing, "Happy Gay Wrath Month." However, the meme did not become largely popularized until 2018. Jokes about June or July being gay or LGBTQ+ wrath month first started appearing online in June 2017.
